INTRODUCTION
Amazonas High School each year commemorates its founding with open houses. On this occasion, the English open house, offers a tour of the most representative sites of our country.
In other words, the English open house, offers a guide to the attractions of our beautiful Ecuador. And our colleagues invite us to listen and observe the customs and traditions that enrich our culture.
The tourist information that our partners share is about sites like El Valle del Chota, El Panecillo, Otavalo, Cayambe, Imbabura and Cotopaxi. Each with different styles that differentiate them. Whether in the dance, rhythm, music or food, every place has something that makes it very special.
English open house was held for the second year of high school. It was located in a class on the second floor. And students parallel 'F' were responsible for receiving us and guide us.
And once inside, with a large number of observers, the program began. And immediately all we observe two screens with superb images of our country.
CUERPO
My companions spoke to us about "El Valle del Chota". They gave us interesting details. They said the Chota Valley is a valley of warm climate with desert landscapes. They also made us know that this located in the province of Carchi. Moreover, they also learned that most local population is African-American.
They explained that in the culture of the Chota its main manifestation is music and his ability to dance and play the bomb, drum and other rudimentary instruments.
To show the rhythms of the place a dance group was presented with the typical music of the place.
They also provided information about El Panecillo. For example they said that "Panecillo" is a traditional precolonial mound and is located in the city of Quito. From it you can see the whole city and that makes it a beautiful place to visit.
In addition, near the top of Panecillo can be seen the "pot Panecillo" that it is a cistern for collecting water built by the Spanish.
Our guides showed us the dress of the otavaleños. They said that the elegant woman costume consists of a long white linen shirt, adorned with multicolored floral embroidery handmade two anacos of cloth, one white and one dark blue or black. While man's clothing is simple and consists of a cloth hat, white pants (short) to the ankles, and a simple shirt, also white.
In Otavalo the typical food is Yamor. A chicha that is often accompanied with a delicious fry dish with hominy, tortillas and empanadas. It is also common shampoos served a dish that is pouring cornmeal with hominy and pineapple.
Our colleagues spoke to us about Cayambe. With regard to clothing they told us they retain their own clothing, which is varied and diverse in different areas there. Among the main dress of the Cayambeños is red hat, red poncho, white pants, sandals, hair ribbon. Women use a very finely anaco plissee of different colors combined with embroidered blouses and hat.
And referring to food. Their food is focused on producing agricultural products; their diet is made especially grains like corn, beans, peas; the same which are complemented with sambo, squash, barley, wheat, potatoes goose, white carrot; materials used to prepare a variety of dishes: barley rice, bean flour coladas, peas, corn, roasted, beans and corn cooked tender; besides their diet is supplemented with beef, pork, chicken, rice, canned and industrially prepared drinks.
We also heard about the beautiful fauna of Cotopaxi. Cotopaxi, "the province of the volcano" is a place of cold weather. The mountain is a tourist spot that can be scaled to see the snow and feel the cold. The experience is unique for those who live and you can also spend the night in the cabins of the place.
So my companions gave us valuable information about other places that make Ecuador a unique, diverse and beautiful country. And with dances and other rhythms they gave us the farewell of where they exposed all that valuable information.

The open house I liked it because we showed dances and landscapes that I would like to meet in person. Also, because my companions shared interesting information about our culture. And because it makes me appreciate more the country where I live.
I did not like the atmosphere so suffocating because many people were in such a small, enclosed space. And I did not like the little observable decoration and the small space that had the dancers (although they made a very good presentation).
CONCLUSION
In my opinion the open house did a good job exposing and receiving visitors. I really liked and I entertained the various issues that were exposed also was fun to see my companions express either dancing or talking. They worked hard and for that made a good presentation.
